The Georgen Institute forData Science  (https://www.rochester.edu/data-science/index.html) at the University of Rochester has an opening for an exceptional candidate at the Postdoctoral level. The candidate will work jointly in the groups of Prof. Ehsan Hoque at the Department of Computer Science and Prof. Gourab Ghoshal at the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Profs. Hoque and Ghoshal are focused on a number of Big Data related projects at the intersection of Network Science, Human Computer Interaction, Computational Social Science and Affective Computing. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field. Priority will be accorded to those with experience parsing large-scale datasets, simulation and analytical modeling of Complex Systems as well as a stated interest in Complex Networks and Data Science. Candidates with prior experience and strong interest in research intersecting multiple disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply.

Appointments will be for one year and subject to renewal contingent on performance.
